John Butler Ceol Pipes

Ceol Pipes was established on Achill Island, Co. Mayo in 2010 by John Butler, to produce premium quality, handcrafted uilleann pipes.

The uilleann pipes, along with the harp, are recognised as the national instrument of Ireland. They are the most evolved of all the bagpipe instruments found around the world.  John has been playing the uilleann pipes since 1985. He teaches uilleann piping at the South Sligo School, every summer, and has also taught at Scoil Acla, Achill Island.  John regularly plays sessions in The Annexe Inn, Keel.
